A Day to Remembered

When growing up I would always wonder what I would be good at in life. Growing up coming through grade school I would ride the school bus to and from school. Always sitting on the front seat seeing the road and seeing how things work on the bus.

I used to joke with the bus driver an ask when can I drive the bus or asking the question, you want me to drive today? The answer was always not today but one day. Once I graduation I worked at a couple of places but had never suited me. So, I applied and now been driving bus for four years.

Along with driving school buses, it was always my dream to drive motorcoach. Because that's where my heart was to-do.  On this day November 7th, 2024, I was at practice with the band as they were preparing for a trip to Washington D.C. About 8:45 p.m. I gotten a call that change my life forever. That phone call made me the happiest man alive. I was asked if I was afraid to drive an MCI J4500 (charter bus) to Washington D.C.

I been to D.C before once in High School. But to travel there as and motorcoach operator was truly a dream come true. Mind you I have never drove one of these types of buses before. But while I was there, I was able to see and visit the Washington Monument. I wasn't able to see a lot of monuments due to the time we arrive. But that was okay.

I didn't mention that we when to D.C to see S.C State vs Howard game and we transported the best band in that land The Marching 101 Band. An of course State won the game by the way. What a weekend to remember. Lot I can say about this weekend. But the story goes on.

There's a lot I can say about this accomplishment it was just too much to take in at the time. I am truly grateful that I had the opportunity to take on this eight-hour drive. It wasn't easy, it definitely was challenging. BUT GOD!!!

This was A Day to Remembered!!!
