For those new to the tradition, the MEAC/SWAC Challenge and the Celebration Bowl have become major showcases of HBCU football excellence. The MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) and SWAC (Southwestern Athletic Conference) each send their top teams to battle it out, and the bragging rights last all year long.

For those new to the tradition, the MEAC/SWAC Challenge and the Celebration Bowl have become major showcases of HBCU football excellence. Recording on the street was a blast but it also came with a few challenges. Between dodging traffic noise, finding the right lighting, and catching people who weren’t camera-shy, every good clip felt like a small victory. Still, the energy of spontaneous interviews made the footage feel raw, real, and authentic exactly what I wanted.

Five Questions

This short blog post shows the four parts to the shooting exercise. During this video you will see two young just having a normal conversation. Sean Smith and Dudley Allen getting to know each better. While working behind the camera making sure the sound is good and the angles of where each one person is standing.
