For those new to the tradition, the MEAC/SWAC Challenge and the Celebration Bowl have become major showcases of HBCU football excellence. The MEAC (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) and SWAC (Southwestern Athletic Conference) each send their top teams to battle it out, and the bragging rights last all year long.

Recording on the street was a blast but it also came with a few challenges. Between dodging traffic noise, finding the right lighting, and catching people who weren’t camera-shy, every good clip felt like a small victory. Still, the energy of spontaneous interviews made the footage feel raw, real, and authentic exactly what I wanted.
